Once you feel you are ready for investment, the next step is
to make a business deck. Once that is done, start approaching investors. There
are a number of ways I am aware of.
Online Networks:
There are a number of portals where you can register your startup and apply for
investment. You can view the profiles of various investors and can submit your
deck to the ones you select. You can check out Letsventure, F6S, Angel to name
a few.
Search Engines: Search
and identify which investors might be interested in you. Find the various
investors in the market, study the, identify what kind of models and starups
they invest in and narrow them down to the ones which suit you. Send these
selected investors your deck.
Competitions/Events:
Be aware of the various business plan competitions/events happening and
register to pitch your startup. This is great way to get in front of investors.
Get Covered:
Getting covered in popular blogs like Techcrunch, Venturebeat, Yourstory bring
you into the limelight. A lot of investors keep tracking these blogs to keep
themselves updated about new startups.
Hire a Professional:
You can hire a Chartered Accountant to not only help in making a deck for you,
but also pitching to various investors. These guys generally tend to have an
existing network.
