Startup Model - Podcast Marketplace

The Model: A platform which connects listeners, podcast creators and advertisers in a fully integrated one stop shop. Services are provided to each stakeholder to make the experience as hassle-free as possible.

What I Like:

Core Idea – Podcasts are emerging as an effective and intimate way of delivering content. A platform connecting all stakeholders is this space has great value and potential.

Services – A host of services have been provided for all users, be it the listener, the podcast creator or the advertiser. Listeners can find relevant podcasts for themselves, creators get awesome tools to enrich their podcasts and advertisers get accurate and timely data to assist them. These services act as great tools to acquire and retain users and also add value to the platform.

My Concerns:

High Risk of Competition – There are a few platforms which do the same thing. Also starting a new platform is not very difficult to do. Only the value added services serve as a competitive advantage for the startup.
