As important as it is to set a long term vision and goal, the real and constant analysis of the venture can be done using shorter term goals. Short term goals should be set for different KPIs (like sales, traffic, user conversions, profit margins etc.) and the venture should be analysed at regular intervals to ensure that we are moving in the right direction at the right pace. Once the earlier goals are achieved, fresh ones should be set and this cycle should be constant and continuous.
